The MPLC Appoints New Director

The MPLC is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr John Hickey as a Non-Executive Director
with effect from 1st February 2008.
John joins The MPLC following his retirement as Chief Executive of the Medical Protection Society Ltd (MPS) in 2007. A qualified medical practitioner, his career spans a twenty two year period in the medical indemnity industry in a variety of roles with MPS, including Commercial Director and Medical Director, before his appointment as Chief Executive in 2002. During his time at MPS he was responsible for service delivery in all its international operations as well as the UK, and he has a wide ranging knowledge of the industry in a large number of jurisdictions.
John commented that he was "delighted to be asked by the Board to join The MPLC. I have known John
Young for many years and I look forward to working with the excellent team that John has built at The
MPLC."
